  • Invitation to attend a round table on the topic: "National Strategy for Rural Tourism 2012-2017 Reality or Fiction?!?!"
     
    1. WHAT is rural tourism? How is the work done in a rural environment in Macedonia ? How are institutions coordinated when creating and implementing policies in rural development and tourism? What are the views of the owners of capacities in rural areas? These are just some of the questions that we will try to give answers to the promotional event of the developed sector analysis on the topic of Rural Tourism, complemented with the results obtained from the field research on strategic development of rural tourism

    5. WHY? - The process of policy making, strategic documents, making public decisions involves the involvement of all stakeholders. Right here, right now, we can contribute with concrete proposals that will advance the development of rural tourism in the direction of a strategic development of tourism in the Republic of Macedonia.

  • Training: Designing a smart specialization strategy
     
    The Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation invites all the interested CSO representatives working in the field of Chapter 20 to take part in the training on "Designing a Smart Specialization Strategy", to be held on 11 May 2018 (Friday), from 9 am to 5 pm, at the premises of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia (floor 5, Hall 4) in Skopje.
     
    What is a smart specialization?
     
    Smart Specialization is a new concept for an innovation policy designed to promote the efficient and effective use of public investment. Its goal is to strengthen regional innovation in order to achieve economic growth and prosperity, enabling regions to focus on their strengths. The smart specialization implies that the allocation of investments in multiple technological fields risks limiting the impact in any of the areas. In order to better understand the concept of smart specialization, see the next video.
     
    The training will be led by Petra Savich (Romania), an expert in creating smart specialization strategies, a director of the Department for Regional Strategies and Technology Transfer, North-West Region Development Agency, Romania. She has more than 10 years of experience in regional development, project and program management, with practical experience with innovation policies and smart specialization policies.
     
    The training will be held in English, with translation available in Macedonian.

    This is the fourth training of the envisaged series of 6 one-day trainings that are conducted  within the program for capacity building of the civil society organizations, within the newly established platform "Chapter 20", composed by 47 civic organizations and institutions that operate in the area of ​​Chapter 20.
     
    The activities implemented are part of the project "Strengthening the capacities and mechanisms for supporting the Chapter 20 reform process (YESNetwork +)" funded by the European Union through the IPA Program for Civil Society Facility and Media Programme 2015.
    The project aims to strengthen the capacity of CSOs in creating policies, networking and monitoring policies of Chapter 20.

    The Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation invites all the interested CSO representatives working in the field of Chapter 20 to participate in the training on "Methodology for Policy Research and Policy Paper Creation", which will be held on May 4th 2018 (Friday), from 09.00 - 17.00, in the premises of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia (floor 5, Hall 4) in Skopje.
     
    The training will be led by Dr. Samuel Malceski, who has been active in the NGO sector for more than 15 years, he is the author of  "Methodology of Scientific Research", and at this moment is an assistant professor at the Euro-Balkan University in Skopje.

    The Youth Entrepreneurial Service Foundation invites all the interested CSO representatives working in the field of Chapter 20 to participate in the training on topic "Innovation Policy and Evaluation", which will be held on April 27, 2018 (Friday), from 9 - 17.00, at the premises of the Economic Chamber of Macedonia (floor 5, Hall No.4) in Skopje.
     
    The training will be led by Dr. Aleš Lipnik, an innovation policy expert from Slovenia, director of the Center for Development and Knowledge Transfer, Primorsko University, Slovenia, and Katarina Kretcheva, MSc, an innovation and educational development policy expert, advisor for program development at the Fund for innovation and technological development
    Part of the training will be held in Macedonian and part of the English language, translation will be provided.

    The remaining trainings that will be organized in the following period are on the following topics:

    • Circular Economy: Policies and Practices
    • Industrial evidence-based policy
     
    Part of the trainings will be conducted by foreign experts in order to transfer knowledge and practices from European countries.
    The project aims to strengthen the capacity of CSOs in creating policies, networking and monitoring policies of  Chapter 20 .
